Methodology

How we picked these

Every tool in this stack passed three filters: tested in production (across the $45M Meta Ads agency I co-run, plus solo on 500k.io), re-verified quarterly (price, model, ownership), and used by at least one $500K founder I've interviewed in the same role I'm recommending it for.

No paid placement. A handful of entries (Beehiiv, Resend) are affiliate links — labeled in each block and at /disclosure. Affiliate or not, the ranking is the same: Beehiiv stays #4 even if they paid nothing, because nothing else hits its sub-2.5K-subs free tier with that monetization stack.

"Skip if" notes inside the PDF tell you when each tier is the wrong fit. The Starter stack (~$110/mo) is for pre-revenue founders. The Scale stack ($565/mo) is what I run today on 500k.io. Both are full presets, not feature dumps.

Same approach, expanded: our skills bank methodology details the scoring rubric we apply to the 638-skill index.

FAQ

How is this different from a directory site?

Every tool here is one I or a $500K founder I've interviewed actually use, with the real workflow. No SEO-listicle padding, no "sponsored" rankings, no bot-generated comparisons.

Are these affiliate links?

A couple are (Beehiiv, Resend). Each affiliate link is labeled in its block and disclosed at /disclosure. We don't accept payment for ranking — affiliate or not.

What's the cheapest version of this stack?

Around $110/mo: Claude Code Max ($100), Beehiiv free, Resend free, Cloudflare Pages free, Supabase free, Namecheap domain ($1.25). The PDF breaks down two presets: Starter (~$110/mo) and Scale ($565/mo — the full stack you see here).

How often is this updated?

Quarterly review for every entry. Big shifts (new model release, big price change, tool acquisition) trigger an immediate refresh. Each entry carries a "last verified" date in the PDF.

Can I suggest a tool?

Yes. Email max@thekreators.ai with the source URL, what it does, and the founder workflow it solves. We add tools that genuinely beat what's here on a specific use case.
